Woodworking Projects For The Summer

Summer is here and the days are nice and warm and great for working on hobbies that have been long neglected since the winter months.

After I have completed any chores that I have to do, during the summer I like to work on my woodworking projects and perhaps get started on new projects.

I have created a number of different woodworking projects.

Previously I have created a bird feeder and even an outdoor shed where I store all of my projects.

If you have been wondering how I gained my woodworking expertise, well I have a little secret.

One day while searching the internet for articles on woodworking, I came across a woodworking course called My Shed Plans Elite.

This course was one of the most comprehensive courses on woodworking that I had ever seen.

Previously I had just been trying to learn about woodworking through friends of mine and through a few books that I had gotten from the library.

However My Shed Plans Elite turned out to be exactly what I was looking for.

This course includes everything you will need to put together a new project.

It includes a materials list, complete setup guide, and blueprints that will help guide you through every step of completing the project.

This guide greatly increased the number of projects that I was able to complete and also helped me to perfect my woodworking skills.

Since I’ve used this course, the projects that I now put together look like they were created by an expert instead of just some amateur guy quietly working away in his own backyard.

I bought a house a few years ago that has a fireplace which I thought was really cool, but what I never thought of was where to get the firewood and also where to store it, so for the next 2 years our fire place did not get used, then one day a neighbor asked me about it and he just happened to have a set of plans for building a firewood storage shed that he used to build one on his property.

Getting your hands on stacks of firewood is the easy part and I decided to just store it on the ground outside as I thought it would be all right there, after about a year I noticed the wood was always damp and some of it was starting to rot.

So, I came to the conclusion that I needed a protective home for my firewood and dug up the plans my neighbor had given me the year before, I went to the local hardware store and two local lumber stores for estimates on the material and found the first lumber store had the best prices with a savings of about 10%

The shed had three walls and a roof. The floor I laid a sheet of plastic on the ground to keep out moisture and covered it with cinder blocks spreading mouse poison on top of the blocks where wild life and pets could not get at it once covered with my firewood.

I bought my firewood at the start of the winter and I stacked the it loosely and evenly to allow good airflow to circulate all around it keeping it nice and dry, the wood I bought was still green but leaving it like this ensures I have nice dry wood for next winter to have cozy warm fires.

I would recommend that if you have a fireplace that you build yourself firewood storage shed and use a good set of plans to build it with. Using plans for any home woodworking project will eliminate costly mistakes and save you time and money producing solid good looking projects that will increase your property value.

And make sure you shop around for the best deals, firewood storage shed plans is a small investment for a great job done and I will always use plans from now on for future woodworking projects, it is great having dry clean wood to burn in your fireplace on those cold nights or romantic evenings with someone special.

Any home woodworking project should always be done with a set of plans to cut down on costly mistakes, and plans will save you money by knowing exactly what material to buy. Click on the link above and have a look at a book that has over 12,000 home woodworking plans that you can use for any project you can think.
